The Lavrushinskiy Pereulok site has 62 rooms filled withart. It has an amazing collection of Russian art includingmany famous paintings by Isaac Levitan such as themasterpiece “March”. There is also the Engraving Roomwhich has an impressive collection of engravings includingthe Rovinsky Collection, the Mosolov Collection and manyothers which used to belong to Russian nobles and theroyal family. The museum also houses a large collection ofancient, medieval, Russian and Soviet coins, medals,plaques and banknotes
The gallery on Krymskiy Val is also called the House ofArtists. Here you can see a fine collection of early modernart – including Malevich's “Black Square” and Kandinsky’s“Composition VII”
