The film “Tsar” is about 16th century Russia. Ivan the Terrible, the Russian tsar believes in his special place in history. So he wants to have absolute power and rule alone. The tsar cruelly destroys anyone who stands in his way. Philip, Ivan’s close friend, doesn’t agree with the monarch and openly speaks about the tsar’s tyranny. Mamonov and Yankovsky star in the leading roles.

“The Star” is a screen version of the famous book by Emmanuil Kazakevich. In the summer of 1944 the fascists prepare a tank attack on the Russian land. Seven Russian soldiers must stop the enemy. They are ready to die to achieve Victory.

“Come Look at Me” is a movie about an old lady who lives with her daughter. The lady’s dream is to see her daughter married. The daughter wants to see her mother happy. So she invites a man she doesn’t know to visit them and introduces him as her boyfriend. The man and the old lady begin to like each other. The film has a lot of funny episodes and a happy ending.

“The Ugly Swans” is a film about a school for gifted children. The school teachers and children are very unusual in many ways; they are not like humans at all.
The leading character is a writer whose daughter goes to this school. He sees that something is wrong and tries to help his daughter and other children. The message of the film is the future of people on planet Earth.
